The consortium meeting of the Learn to Play for the Future project took place in Trnava on 17-18 February 2025. After many online meetings, this was the first face-to-face meeting.
The meeting focused on the progress of the project, current tasks and planning next steps. The partners from the University of Bielsko-Biala, Impact Games, Comenius University in Bratislava, and UCM came to Trnava. The Finnish partners from XAMK joined online.
One of the main points of the agenda was our project’s research methodology and data collection. In particular, the needs analysis of the target group – teachers and students – was discussed, on the basis of which courses will be created for this target group. The consortium also decided to hold a brainstorming session to determine the structure and content of the syllabus, including the necessary study materials.
Within the area of dissemination, UCM presented results, such as the visual identity, the communication plan, the regularly updated website and social networks. In the coming months, the consortium will work on the dissemination of a newsletter prepared by UCM, which will be distributed by the partners to people who might be interested in the content. We will also produce the first two videos in August with the theme of game-based learning.
Impact Games showcased the implementation of tools and research in the field of educational games at designing a tool box for game creation. The meeting participants also attended a workshop on educational game design, led by an experienced game designer Tanya Zacharovska from Bored Monkey. During her lecture, she explained the main and the most important features of successful educational games.
